Professional Broadcast and On-Line Radio Production

About Us

In 2004, Judith Kampfner produced American comedian Mike Daisey’s play Twenty One Dog Years in New York, and sent it to BBC Radio as an example of her work. Six months later it went out in the Radio 4 Afternoon Play slot.

On the strength of this Kampfner teamed up with Stuart Rosenberg who founded the Corporation for Independent Media in Chicago. Later that year CIM Audio, as it is now known, successfully bid to become a registered supplier for BBC Radio 4.

In 2005 CIM Audio received two drama commissions for BBC Radio 4, The Ugly American a stage monologue by Mike Daisey and Dirty Tricks a stage play by John Jeter (soon to become a major movie starring Meryl Streep, Gwyneth Paltrow and Annette Benning). Both pieces were adapted for radio by CIM Audio and broadcast last year. Here is what reviewers had to say about these productions:

•”Beautifully crafted radio” The Guardian. About Dirty Tricks

•”Mike Daisey’s story is highly amusing” The Mail on Sunday

We are currently producing 3 projects for BBC Radio 3, two series and a documentary for BBC World Service and 3 plays and an Archive Hour for BBC Radio 4.

We are also working on a regular basis producing features and documentaries for American public radio stations.
