CIM Audio was founded in 2004. Its original mission was to bring audio adaptations of American stage, film and television drama, as well as US plays originally written for radio, to BBC Radio listeners. It has now expanded its remit to include the production of investigative series, music and arts features and documentaries. It still continues to produce plays which are recorded in the United States giving CIM Audio a distinctive niche in the UK radio market.
